Teen Leadership Benefit Dinner
Delicious Food & Drinks. Private Entrance!
Live entertainment & testimony from teens. Giveaways & Raffles!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to your overwhelming generosity, we have raised over $2500 for the teens in addition to tickets sales for the Benefit Dinner! This exceeds our original fundraising goal by several hundred dollars. For this reason, we are combining our two previous seating times into 1. The dinner will now take place at 6:30 pm. Additional proceeds will be reallocated to offsetting the cost of the Steubenville Youth Conference for our LEAD teens, as well as all our parish teens attending the weekend conference.
Monday, April 25th, 6:30 pm. Tickets - $50 per person, including gratuity. (menu below)
The Soup Spoon Cafe, which is just a few doors down from Resurrection on Michigan Avenue, is hosting a Benefit Dinner to raise money for off-setting the cost of LEAD for our teens. It is our goal to to raise $1800, so that the teens of our parish feel us investing in developing their leadership potential.
Franciscan LEAD is a five-day, Christ-centered, sacrament-soaked, prayer fueled immersion in Catholic teachings on leadership, evangelization, and discipleship inspired by the life and witness of St. Francis of Assisi. They give teens the tools to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus and then give them the essentials for servant leadership and evangelization.
Teens are eligible to apply after they’ve attended at least 1 Steubenville Youth Conference. This year, we have FIVE eligible teens from Resurrection who've applied for this opportunity. In addition to fundraising for the cost of the weekend conference, the LEAD teens need an additional $360 each for the cost of Franciscan LEAD - it is our goal to raise $1800. This sends an important message to teens of our parish - that we are committed to helping them grow into mature disciples and will invest in developing them into leaders!
